The number of cases of COVID-19 in Prentiss county are doubling every ten days according to state health officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs.
Dr. Dobbs released these numbers on Wednesday morning. Prentiss county is among the counties with the fastest rate of growth in the state of Mississippi, according to Dobbs.
The state health officer urged residents to use social distancing and wear a mask while avoiding large groups.
Alcorn county was also listed as having a fast rate of growth.
