Baldwyn High School Senior Shadows Middle School Girls’ Basketball Coach

Baldwyn High School senior Da’Rekis “J.T.” Bennett spent the day shadowing Baldwyn Middle School girls’ basketball coach Ethan Carmichael. Bennett said he learned that coaching is a challenging task.

“I watched the coach teaching them how to do drills. I liked when the students did the drill correctly,” Bennett said. He expressed gratitude to Coach Carmichael for providing the learning opportunity.

Bennett’s interest in coaching reflects his enthusiasm for basketball and desire to understand the sport more deeply, according to a school spokesperson.
