Baldwyn kindergarten students explore plant growth through planting activity
Students in Mrs. Raines and Ms. Amber’s kindergarten class at Baldwyn Elementary are participating in a science activity aligned with their reading curriculum. The class is focusing on the essential question: What can I learn when I look closely?
Today, the students planted beans to observe their growth and labeled the parts of a plant. The activity helps them understand the basic needs of plants and animals for survival, in accordance with state standards.
According to the curriculum, students are demonstrating their understanding of what living things need to grow and thrive. The activity also encourages close observation and scientific thinking among young learners, the school said.
Baldwyn Elementary shared photos of the activity on social media, highlighting student engagement and hands-on learning. The hashtag #heartofabearcat was included in the post.
