The Baldwyn School District will hold its Black History Community and Career Expo on Friday, February 20, at 9 a.m. The event will take place in the Baldwyn High School gym and will feature a celebration of the Lee-Prentiss School’s history.
A new historical marker commemorating Lee-Prentiss School has been installed on the Baldwyn Elementary School campus, the site of the former school, according to district officials.
District officials also announced that Black History Month T-shirts are currently on sale through Thursday, February 12. Order forms can be found at each school office, and completed orders should be returned by the deadline.
