The Baldwyn School District will host its Black History Community & Career Expo on Feb. 20 at the BHS Gym, beginning at 9 a.m., according to district officials.
This year’s event will include a historical celebration of the Lee-Prentiss School, which previously operated on the Baldwyn Elementary School campus. A new historical sign dedicated to the school has been erected on the campus, district representatives said.
Organizers emphasized the importance of community togetherness, with social media posts highlighting themes of unity and history. The event aims to educate attendees about local Black history and promote community engagement.
