Baldwyn Senior Shystin Miller Completes Shadowing at Booneville Manufacturing Facility

Baldwyn High School senior Shystin Miller spent the day shadowing at New Way in Booneville, Mississippi. The manufacturing company, which opened its Booneville facility in 2019, produces refuse collection vehicles used across North America.

Miller said he enjoyed the experience, especially working with welding under the guidance of Mr. Graham. He also worked on a garbage truck and received a tour of the plant, which he described as a great day.

He expressed gratitude to New Way for the opportunity. After graduation, Miller plans to attend Northeast Mississippi Community College to earn his welding certification, according to the school district.
