Baldwyn seniors awarded full-tuition scholarships to Northeast Mississippi Community College

Baldwyn High School seniors Essence Warren and Gabee Kate Lee attended Northeast Mississippi Community College’s Leadership Luncheon in Booneville, according to school officials.

The students were among two from each school in the district invited to the event. They received a video greeting from President Ford, who awarded them the Presidential Leadership Scholarship, a full-tuition award to attend NEMCC.

During the event, the students met with campus division heads and representatives from various student organizations, the district said.

Warren and Lee’s selection highlights their leadership qualities, officials added.
