Baldwyn students celebrate reading goals with silent disco

Students at Baldwyn Elementary School celebrated achieving their Accelerated Reader goals for the third nine weeks with a silent disco event held in the school gym.

Participants wore headphones that played three different genre playlists. They danced and sang along as they tried to find classmates listening to the same songs, according to school officials.

The event aimed to motivate students to reach their reading targets while providing a fun, music-filled experience, the school said.
