Booneville Begins Storm Debris Removal Next Week

Booneville officials announced that debris removal will begin next week as crews start work in each ward across the city.

Residents are asked to place only natural storm debris at the city right-of-way. Acceptable items include tree limbs, branches, leaves, and other natural vegetation, according to a city statement.

The city emphasized that storm debris should not be mixed with household garbage, construction materials, plastics, metals, or other non-natural items. Residents are also advised not to place debris near mailboxes. For concerns, residents can contact city hall at 662-728-5601.

Keeping debris separated from other waste helps ensure faster pickup and avoids delays. Mayor Lori Tucker expressed appreciation for residents’ cooperation and patience during the cleanup process.
