Booneville City Leaders Discuss Recovery Efforts at Monday Meeting
Booneville Mayor Lori Tucker led a meeting Monday morning with city directors, county supervisors, organizational leaders, and community members at the Agri-Center. The gathering focused on recovery efforts following recent events in the area.
Prentiss County EMA Director Bud Lindsey provided an update on ongoing recovery operations. Representatives from MEMA, FEMA, and ER Assist also shared information. Rick Christian of MEMA, Ralph Edmonds and Michelle Barnett of FEMA, and Joe Lobianco of ER Assist all participated in the briefing, according to sources.
Debristech, LLC representative Tyler Williamson explained the onboarding and hiring process for contractors involved in debris removal. Hughes Construction’s Chris Hughes discussed debris site locations and wiring plans for wood chipping and burn sites.
Mississippi State Representative Tracy Arnold addressed the attendees. Officials emphasized the availability of an online Self-Reporting Form for property damage, accessible at https://www.msema.org/report-damage.
City officials said updates on cleanup efforts will be posted daily and weekly on Booneville’s Facebook page to keep the community informed.
