Booneville Debris Removal Continues After Ice Storm

Booneville officials reported steady progress in debris removal efforts following an ice storm that impacted the city. The updates, provided by DebrisTech, detail ongoing work to clear fallen trees and hanging limbs from public rights of way.

Crews have been actively cutting leaners and hangers throughout the week. Red areas on the city map indicate hanging limbs, while yellow shows leaning trees. Debris collection units are operating with five haulers and three trailers, collecting 2.2 cubic yards of debris on Friday. The total volume collected so far is 3.7 cubic yards.

Tree removal teams have used two trucks to process 55 tree tickets on Friday, bringing the total to 159. Officials urge residents to continue placing debris at the curb and keeping roadways clear for equipment access. Hauling will continue over the weekend as additional trucks become available.

Mayor Lori C. Tucker thanked residents for their patience and said more updates will be provided on Monday, March 2.
