Booneville Gas & Water Office Launches Professional Development Training

The Booneville Gas & Water Office started a new professional development program Monday, aiming to enhance customer service and workplace effectiveness. The six-week training is part of an effort to improve service delivery to the community, according to a city spokesperson.

Guest speaker Cherity Blackwell, who brings more than 20 years of experience in customer service and marketing, will lead sessions on the “18 Principles of Customer Service.” Topics include professional phone skills, workplace effectiveness, handling customer issues, and personal representation in the workplace.

During the training period, the Booneville Gas & Water Office will be closed from noon to 1 p.m. on May 12, May 19, May 26, June 2, and June 9. Officials asked customers to plan accordingly.

The city expressed appreciation for its office staff’s dedication as they work to serve residents with improved skills and professionalism.
