Booneville High School Students Experience Historic Tea at Marnie’s Tea Room
Students in the AP U.S. History class at Booneville High School recently visited Marnie’s Tea Room to learn more about the Boston Tea Party and its historical context. The visit aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the role of tea in American history.
During the visit, students sampled a variety of teas and enjoyed a meal prepared by the tea room. Marnie, the owner, shared her knowledge of different types of teas and answered students’ questions, making the experience both educational and enjoyable.
Teachers and students expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality and engaging learning environment. The trip provided a hands-on way for students to connect with historical events, bringing the lesson to life outside the classroom.
