Booneville Holds Vietnam War Veterans Day Ceremony at Courthouse
BOONEVILLE, Miss. — The Booneville VFW hosted a ceremony Saturday morning to mark National Vietnam War Veterans Day on the lawn of the Prentiss County Courthouse.
The event honored the 9 million Americans who served during the Vietnam War era and recognized those who did not receive proper acknowledgment upon their return.
Officials, including Booneville Mayor Lori Tucker, participated in the tribute. They expressed appreciation for the service and sacrifice of Booneville veterans and all U.S. service members.
On behalf of the city, officials celebrated the heroism of veterans and thanked them for their service. The ceremony concluded with a message of gratitude and a prayer for continued blessings for the nation.
