Booneville Officials Ask Residents to Keep Porch Lights On to Identify Power Outages

Booneville city aldermen plan to drive through neighborhoods Tuesday evening to assess power outages. Officials are asking residents who have electricity to leave their porch lights on during that time.

The goal is to identify homes still without power so city crews can return during daylight hours on Tuesday and possibly Wednesday for repairs, according to a city spokesperson.

Officials emphasized that this effort is a community-wide safety measure to ensure no homes are overlooked amid ongoing power outages. Residents are encouraged to participate to help facilitate recovery efforts.

City officials thanked residents in advance for their cooperation in taking care of the community during the outages.
