Booneville Receives $300,000 in State Funding for Infrastructure Projects

The City of Booneville has announced the receipt of $300,000 in state funding for infrastructure improvements, thanks to the support of Mississippi legislators.

The funds include $250,000 allocated for upgrades to city-owned buildings and $50,000 designated for the East Lake drainage project, according to a city statement.

City officials say the investments will enhance facilities, address critical drainage needs, and improve residents’ quality of life. They credited Representatives Tracy Arnold and Daniel Sparks, along with other state partners, for securing the funding.

Booneville officials expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from Mississippi lawmakers, emphasizing that these projects will help build a stronger, safer, and more resilient community. They highlighted the importance of continued collaboration to foster growth and improvement.

The city plans to move forward with the projects, aiming to make Booneville better each day, officials said.
