Booneville School District cancels classes due to power outages

The Booneville School District announced that classes will be canceled Monday because of ongoing power outages impacting many families in the area.

The district plans to resume classes Tuesday, weather permitting, and has scheduled Presidents Day, February 16, as a makeup day. Officials will provide updates if conditions change.

A warming shelter and hot food station are available at the West Side Community Center at Swift Park for residents in need, according to district officials. The district emphasized its focus on the safety and well-being of students, staff, and families and thanked the community for understanding.
