Booneville School District cancels classes due to power outages

Booneville School District announced that schools will be closed Monday due to ongoing power outages affecting many families in the area. The district plans to resume classes Tuesday, weather permitting, and will provide updates if conditions change.

The district has scheduled Presidents Day, Feb. 16, as a makeup day for the missed school day. In the meantime, a warming shelter and hot food station are available at the West Side Community Center at Swift Park for those who need assistance, according to district officials.

District officials emphasized their commitment to student and staff safety and thanked the community for their patience and understanding during the outage. They urged residents to stay safe and look out for one another.
