Booneville School District has announced that release forms are due by March 1 for students living outside the district’s attendance zone who wish to attend Booneville Schools.
According to district officials, there is a possibility that legislation permitting public-to-public school choice could become law this year. If passed, students outside Booneville’s zone would need a release to attend Booneville Schools for the 2026-2027 school year, pending district approval.
Parents and guardians can find release forms from Prentiss County Schools on the district’s website at www.boonevilleschools.org. The district advises families to plan ahead, though approval is not guaranteed.
