Dr. Jason Beghtol named Humanities Teacher of the Year, to present music lecture

The Cultural Arts Committee has named Dr. Jason Beghtol as this year’s Humanities Teacher of the Year.

He will deliver a presentation titled “Preserving Our Musical Moment: New Works and New Possibilities for the Bass Trombone” on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. in Hines Auditorium.

The event will feature the world premiere of Derek Taylor’s piece, Ambush of the Night Watch. A reception will follow the performance, according to committee organizers.
