Hinds Community College baseball team edged Northeast 9-8 Tuesday evening, securing the victory with a two-run eighth inning. The Eagles scored two runs in the final frame to clinch the win, according to game reports.
The game was competitive throughout, with both teams trading runs. Hinds scored the winning runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, ending the game on a walkoff.
Northeast will return to action Wednesday at Northwest, with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m., according to the teams’ schedules.
