Humanities Teacher of the Year presentation rescheduled for Feb. 9

The Humanities Teacher of the Year presentation by Dr. Jason Beghtol has been rescheduled due to class cancellations, according to a university news release.

The event will now take place Monday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. in Hines Auditorium. The presentation, titled “Preserving our Musical Moment: New Works and New Possibilities for the Bass Trombone,” will feature the world premiere of Derek Taylor’s “Ambush of the Night Watch,” the release stated.

The Cultural Arts Committee selected Beghtol as this year’s Humanities Teacher of the Year. A reception will follow the presentation. The original event was scheduled for Feb. 3.
