Local School District Announces 2-Hour Delay for Students Tomorrow

School officials announced a two-hour delay for students tomorrow, citing logistical adjustments for the day. Bus routes will run on a delayed schedule, meaning a pickup time of 6:50 a.m. will shift to 8:50 a.m., according to the district.

Grab-and-go breakfast bags will be available at both cafeterias for students who want or need them. Students in kindergarten through fourth grade at BES should report to homeroom by 9:45 a.m., while fifth through eighth graders at BHS should report to third period by 9:30 a.m. High school students in grades 9 through 12 are scheduled to report to second block class by 9:30 a.m.

The remainder of the school day will follow regular class times, with lunch served at normal hours. Dismissal and afternoon bus routes will also operate on traditional schedules, the district said.

Families are advised to contact their school offices or teachers if their power or water is still out. Students affected by utility outages will be excused, officials added.
