Local School Prepares Students for Upcoming Benchmark Tests

School officials are emphasizing the importance of the next two weeks for students taking benchmark tests before state exams begin. The school aims to simulate testing conditions to help students perform their best, according to a message shared with parents and families.

Parents are encouraged to support their children by ensuring they get enough sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, arrive on time, and avoid unnecessary absences. Staff also recommend charging devices ahead of testing days to prevent technical issues.

Testing is scheduled to start Tuesday, Feb. 24, with the ACT for juniors at BHS. Benchmark testing for middle and high school students will run from Feb. 24 through March 6, with specific dates for each class. Additionally, elementary students in grades 2 through 4 will take benchmarks from Feb. 24 to 26, and first through fourth graders will participate in STAR testing from March 2 to 5.

School officials expressed gratitude for community support as students prepare for these assessments, which are considered vital for measuring academic progress and readiness.
