MDWFP supports private landowners in wildlife management across Mississippi
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks is working with private landowners to improve wildlife management across the state. The department’s Private Lands Biologists provide technical guidance to help landowners enhance habitats, manage game species, and make informed land-use decisions, according to a recent episode of Mississippi Outdoors.
With more than 80% of Mississippi’s wildlife habitat on private land, these partnerships are vital to conservation efforts, the department said. The episode features an interview with Hinds County landowner Bruce Brady Jr., who discusses his experience participating in the Private Lands Program and describes what occurs during a site visit.
Landowners interested in the program can apply for a free site visit through MDWFP. The department encourages those seeking to support wildlife conservation to take advantage of these resources. The full episode is available online at https://youtu.be/jQAt7ElS0UA.
