Cadet Class 70 spent the night participating in demanding training exercises, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
Sixteen cadets endured OC spray exposure and practiced defensive tactics, officials said. The training is designed to prepare them for the challenges of law enforcement work.
Officials emphasized that while the exercises are tough, they reflect the realities cadets will face on the job. The department continues to prepare its recruits through rigorous physical and tactical training.
