Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Hiring for Multiple Positions

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is currently hiring for multiple positions across the state, according to a department spokesperson. Job openings include roles in park management, wildlife biology, and construction.

One available position is Assistant Park Manager at Clarkco State Park. The role involves administrative and supervisory duties, focusing on overseeing park operations and managing work crews, the department said. The department is also hiring a Park Manager at George Cossar State Park, responsible for general management, policy development, and program planning.

Biologist positions are open in wildlife management. The South Central WMA Biologist role covers the Old River, Wolf River, Leaf River, Theodore Mars, Little Biloxi, and Marion County WMAs. An Assistant WMA Biologist position is also available, overseeing the Southwest Wildlife Management Areas. Both positions are statewide and involve wildlife supervision and management.

The department is additionally seeking a Construction Project Specialist II in Hinds County, tasked with planning and coordinating construction, repairs, and maintenance for facilities and infrastructure under state control.
