Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Shares Clues About Early-Blooming Tree
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks posted a photo on social media asking followers to identify a tree in the image.
The department provided two hints: the tree is one of the first to bloom in Mississippi each spring, and its dense wood was historically used for tool handles and golf club heads.
The department said it would reveal the tree’s identity in the comments later today. The photo was credited to Chris Hutcheson.
