The head of the Mississippi Development Authority indicated this week that the state is preparing to announce another major investment, which is expected to create thousands of new jobs, according to sources familiar with the matter.
During a luncheon at the Stennis Capitol Press Forum in Jackson, MDA Executive Director Bill Cork did not provide specific details but said that 2025 was a successful year for economic development in Mississippi. He added that 2026 is poised to surpass it.
