Mississippi duck season ends; MDWFP urges safe hunting and wetland conservation

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) announced the end of the regular duck hunting season on Tuesday. Officials expressed hope that hunters had a safe and responsible season.

MDWFP encourages hunters to leave water for ducks and participate in wetland habitat restoration efforts. These habitats are vital for migratory birds passing through Mississippi.

The agency also announced upcoming events, including youth, veterans, and active military days scheduled for February 7-8. MDWFP invites all to join these special days to promote wildlife stewardship and outdoor recreation.
