Mississippi opens applications for 2026 spring turkey draw hunts

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks has opened the application period for the 2026 Wildlife Management Area Spring Turkey Draw Hunts. The deadline to apply is January 31, according to the department.

Non-residents planning to hunt public land from March 7 to March 31 must also apply for a Public Land License Endorsement. That application period runs from Jan. 15 to Jan. 31, the department said.

The new Mississippi Wild Turkey Stamp is not required to complete either application, department officials added. More information about the applications and requirements is available on the department’s website.
