The Mississippi Department of Public Safety will open a new Driver Service office in Columbia on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026. The office is located at 153 Partnership Way in Columbia.
The new location aims to provide convenient access to driver licensing and related services for residents in Marion County and surrounding communities. Appointments can be scheduled online at dps.ms.gov.
According to the department, average wait times at Mississippi Driver Service locations are currently 14 minutes or less. Commissioner Sean Tindell called the new office a positive development for the area, emphasizing efforts to improve access and customer service across the state.
