Mississippi has received final approval from the federal government for a comprehensive plan to expand broadband infrastructure across the state. The initiative aims to reach every area lacking high-speed internet access.
Preliminary awards totaling more than $508 million will fund efforts to connect about 93,000 unserved households. Participating providers are expected to contribute an additional $321 million in private funding to complete the project.
