Mississippi to open waterfowl season for youth, veterans, and active military Feb. 7-8
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks announced that the waterfowl season for youth, veterans, and active military will take place February 7-8. All Wildlife Management Areas with waterfowl hunting opportunities will be open during these two days.
Regulations and bag limits for the special season will be the same as during the regular season. The event operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with no drawings required, according to the department.
Hunters can find a nearby Wildlife Management Area by visiting the department’s website at https://www.mdwfp.com/wildlife-hunting/wildlife-species-program/waterfowl-program/waterfowl-hunting-opportunities, the agency said.
