Mississippi wildlife officials have sent out draw hunt notifications for the 2026 spring turkey season at wildlife management areas (WMAs).
Non-resident public land turkey draw results are also expected to be sent soon. Applicants are advised to check the email they provided during the application process to see if they were successful. They can also verify their status through their profile in the state’s license system.
Hunters who are drawn or plan to hunt turkeys in Mississippi are reminded to purchase any necessary licenses, including the newly introduced Wild Turkey Stamp, before heading into the woods. Officials encourage hunters to prepare accordingly for the upcoming season.
