Northeast Mississippi Community College’s baseball team edged No. 15 Parkland 8-7 in a game highlighted by a walk-off hit from Brett Haas in the bottom of the seventh inning, according to the school.
The victory clinched the series for NEMCC for the second straight season. Haas’s clutch hit helped secure the win in a closely contested game.
The Tigers are set to participate in their first Mid-South Athletic Conference midweek three-way event on Wednesday. The game marks an important stretch in their schedule as they prepare for upcoming conference play.
School officials and fans are celebrating the win, which continues NEMCC’s recent success on the baseball diamond, and are looking forward to the upcoming competition.
