NEMCC Hosts Night of Baseball for Children with Barriers
North East Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) will host its annual Night of Baseball on March 16 at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place at The Plex and is open to children in kindergarten and older who face physical or mental barriers that prevent participation in traditional sports, according to organizers.
Participants will be paired with NEMCC athletes to enjoy a fun and inclusive evening of baseball. The event aims to create a supportive environment for children to experience the sport they might not otherwise be able to access.
Registration is open through February 20. Parents can sign up their children at https://forms.gle/E8twExpuPLdCLqaN8. Volunteers and donors interested in supporting the event are encouraged to register via https://forms.gle/dgLadgV5DV3HLdNr5 and https://forms.gle/HKLK58zAxQ9htn229, respectively, according to NEMCC.
Organizers hope the event will be a memorable night for participating children and their families, emphasizing community involvement and inclusivity.
