NEMCC names December Athletes of the Month

Javion Stephen and Nakyiah Walker have been named North East Mississippi Community College’s Athletes of the Month for December, presented by Booneville’s Guaranty Bank.

Both athletes led their teams in scoring last month. Stephen averaged 17.4 points per game, while Walker posted 17 points per game, according to college officials.

Their performances helped boost their teams’ efforts in the recent basketball season, the college said.
