NEMCC names March Athletes of the Month

North East Mississippi Community College has announced Sophie Gant and Matthew Osteen as its Athletes of the Month for March, presented by Booneville’s Guaranty Bank.

Osteen led the softball team with a 4-0 pitching record and 18 strikeouts last month, according to school officials. Gant posted a 4-1 record at the plate and collected 13 extra-base hits during the period.

The awards recognize their standout performances in their respective sports during March. The college congratulates both athletes on their achievements.
