Northeast Mississippi Community College student Ella Mills recently represented Mississippi at the International Leadership Seminar for State Officers (ILSSO), one of the most competitive leadership programs in the FFA.
After serving as a 2024–2025 FFA State Officer, Mills was selected as one of only 75 state officers nationwide to participate in the program. The trip took her to Spain, where she explored agricultural systems in Barcelona, Seville, Toledo, Córdoba, and Madrid.
According to NEMCC, experiences like this help students build global awareness, leadership skills, and real-world connections. The college emphasizes that such opportunities prepare students to lead beyond the classroom.
