NEMCC’s Kirksey Named WBCA All-American, First from Mississippi
Maniya Kirksey of Northeast Mississippi Community College has been named a WBCA All-American, making her the first player from Mississippi to earn the honor, according to the college’s athletics department.
Kirksey is the 12th player in program history to receive WBCA All-American recognition. She was one of the top five scorers in the conference this season, averaging 19.6 points per game during conference play, the school said.
The honor adds to Kirksey’s list of achievements this season. Her performance helped solidify her status as one of the top players in the region, the college noted.
