North East Mississippi Community College makes history at first women’s golf tournament

North East Mississippi Community College’s women’s golf team made history at its first-ever tournament, finishing with both players in the top five positions, according to school officials.

Andie Kate Ramey claimed the individual championship after shooting an even-par score on the final day. Maggie McElhaney finished in fourth place.

The event marked a milestone for the program, which aims to build on its success in future competitions, officials said.
