Northeast Mississippi Community College’s baseball team defeated Coahoma Community College 14-2 in the final game of the series, according to school officials.
The Tigers scored 13 of their runs in the first two innings, establishing a commanding lead early in the game. Northeast finished the week with the win and will have the rest of the week off.
The team is scheduled to return to action next week in Senatobia, where they will face Itawamba and Northwest community colleges, officials said.
