Northeast Mississippi Community College baseball announced Monday it will not take part in a round-robin event at Delta State University scheduled for Tuesday.
Instead, the Tigers will host Coahoma Community College in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 2 p.m., according to the school’s athletic department.
The doubleheader will be free to attend, and officials encouraged fans to come support the team. The game will be played at Northeast Mississippi Community College’s field.
This schedule change was made to accommodate the team’s upcoming plans, the school said. No further details about the reason for the change were provided.
