Northeast Mississippi Community College’s basketball teams secured a historic victory Monday, completing their first-ever sweep of Jones College. The wins helped the Tigers stay in the thick of the playoff hunt, according to school officials.
The program has only recently faced Jones regularly due to a change in divisional structures. Northeast’s last meeting with the Bobcats was not an annual event until recent seasons.
The team will look to keep the momentum going at home Thursday against Southwest Mississippi Community College, officials added.
