The Kossuth High School National Champion Cheer Team visited Northeast Mississippi Community College on Tuesday, where they received recognition for their recent national title. The team was welcomed by NEMCC President Dr. Ricky G. Ford and Patrick Eaton, vice president of institutional advancement and executive director of the development foundation and alumni association.
During the visit, each cheerleader was surprised with a $50 bookstore shopping spree, a gesture arranged by college officials. The college also hosted a dinner in their honor and recognized the team at halftime of the Lady Tigers basketball game.
College officials praised the team’s hard work, dedication, and team spirit that contributed to their success this season, according to a statement from NEMCC. “We couldn’t be more proud of each of you,” said Ford.
