Northeast Mississippi Community College Honors Alumnus Kent Geno for Support and Leadership
Northeast Mississippi Community College is recognizing Kent Geno, president of Cook Coggin Engineers and a proud alumnus, for his company’s contributions to the region and the college.
Cook Coggin, recently named Mississippi’s “Best of the Best” engineering firm, has completed numerous projects for Northeast Mississippi Community College. The company also established the Cook Coggin Engineers, Inc. Endowed Scholarship, awarded to full-time pre-engineering students from several local counties, who maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
Geno’s company has mentored 13 Northeast students through the college’s Tiger Apprenticeship program, offering hands-on industry experience. Additionally, Cook Coggin currently employs 30 Northeast graduates, supporting both the firm and regional workforce development.
Geno’s leadership and ongoing support exemplify a strong commitment to the college and its students, college officials said.
