Northeast Mississippi Community College hosts Booneville fifth graders at the Plex

Booneville fifth graders visited Northeast Mississippi Community College’s Plex on Tuesday. The students threw out the first pitch, sang the national anthem, and assisted as bat boys and bat girls during the game, according to college officials.

College staff said the event was a reminder of why they love what they do. The college expressed excitement about the possibility of seeing the students again in the future, wearing the school’s black and gold.

Organizers hope the experience inspires the students and fosters a connection with the college community.
