Northeast Mississippi Community College Hosts Cheer Clinics and Tryouts

Northeast Mississippi Community College is holding cheer clinics and official tryouts for the 2026-2027 cheerleading squad. The clinics are scheduled for Feb. 22 at 2 p.m., March 22 at 2 p.m., and April 9 at 4 p.m., with the official tryout set for April 12 at 2 p.m., according to college officials.

Participants are encouraged to have tumbling skills, which are preferred but not required. A mascot spot is also available for interested students. The college is actively recruiting male athletes for the team, officials said.
