Northeast Mississippi Community College hosts inaugural women’s golf tournament

Northeast Mississippi Community College hosted its first women’s golf tournament Tuesday at Shiloh Ridge Athletic Club in Corinth, Mississippi.

The tournament, called the Northeast Spring Invitational, is a historic event for the college and the Crossroads area, according to school officials.

Participants competed across the fairways and greens, with first-round scoring available on the Clippd platform. The tournament highlights the college’s growing focus on women’s athletics, officials said.

NEMCC officials and participants celebrated the milestone as a step forward for women’s sports at the college, which is located in TigerTown.
